Our Story
Two Decades of Doing the Right Thing
Russ Palmer started his restoration journey in 1994 with a carpet cleaning van and a curiosity about water damage science. By 1998, he had founded FloodPro and earned a reputation as one of the region’s leading experts in structural drying, pioneering a cutting-edge technique known as top-down drying. In 2005, that expertise became Titan Restoration of Arizona.
Since then, the company has grown to four locations across Mesa, Tucson, Flagstaff, and Prescott Valley, with over 78 team members and 50,000+ jobs completed. One of those jobs stands out above the rest: Titan handled one of the largest water losses in Arizona history when a monsoon storm flooded Talking Stick Resort and Casino, requiring the removal of 2 million gallons of water and nearly 25,000 hours of work to restore the property.

The Titan Flood House
Arizona's Only Live Water Damage Restoration Training Facility
Most restoration companies certify their technicians with a written exam. Titan Restoration of Arizona floods a real house.
Since 2010, our dedicated Flood House training facility in Mesa, Arizona has been where every IICRC-certified Titan technician learns water damage restoration through live, hands-on structural flooding demonstrations, using professional-grade extraction and drying equipment on real building materials before they ever respond to a water damage job in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, or Prescott.
The Flood House is a 1,400 square foot residential property we purchased specifically for this purpose. We flood it. Our technicians dry it. They learn proper in-place drying techniques, professional water extraction methods, moisture detection using thermal imaging, and how to prevent mold growth during the structural drying process, all applied to a real flooded Arizona structure.
What Every Titan Technician Learns at the Flood House
Live Water Extraction Training
Technicians practice multiple professional water extraction methods using industrial-grade equipment on real flooring, subfloor, and structural materials, the same conditions they encounter on water damage restoration jobs across Phoenix, Mesa, Tucson, Flagstaff, and Prescott.
In-Place Structural Drying Techniques
Titan’s foundational approach to water damage restoration is drying everything in place, carpet, padding, and drywall, whenever conditions allow. This restores Arizona properties faster, reduces disruption, and lowers overall water damage repair costs for homeowners and insurance carriers. The Flood House is where this technique is taught, practiced, and perfected by every technician on our team.

- Moisture Detection and Thermal Imaging Technicians train on professional moisture meters and thermal imaging equipment to identify hidden moisture behind walls, under flooring, and above ceilings, the moisture that leads directly to mold growth when missed after a water loss.
- Drying Equipment Placement and Calibration Technicians learn how to calculate the correct number of air movers and commercial dehumidifiers for a given water loss, where to position them for maximum structural drying efficiency, and how to confirm the drying process is progressing correctly before closing out a job.
- Mold Prevention During Water Damage Restoration Every Titan technician is trained on the conditions that lead to mold growth during and after a water loss — and how proper structural drying technique, moisture monitoring, and timely water extraction prevent mold from developing in Arizona properties after a water damage event.
The Flood House also hosts a four-credit, Arizona Department of Insurance-approved continuing education course for insurance agents, adjusters, property managers, and facility engineers across Arizona, Course C07297: Water Damage Restoration Considerations, Provider #S16543. Taught free of charge by Titan founder Russ Palmer, one of Arizona’s most respected water loss experts, this hands-on course floods the Flood House live and walks attendees through real extraction, structural drying, and moisture testing from start to finish. There is no tuition. It is open to insurance professionals across Phoenix, Mesa, Tucson, Flagstaff, and Prescott.
When you call Titan Restoration of Arizona after a burst pipe, appliance failure, sewage backup, or monsoon flood, every technician who arrives at your property has trained here. That is a standard no water damage restoration competitor in Arizona matches.
With over 50,000 water damage restoration jobs completed, a KB-1 dual contractor license, and four locations serving Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, and Prescott, Titan brings a level of preparation and expertise to every water damage job that starts right here, at the Flood House.

Serving Arizona
Committed to the Communities We Call Home
With four locations across Arizona, we understand that every region has its own challenges. Mesa and Phoenix properties deal with monsoon flooding and extreme heat. Flagstaff faces snow loads, frozen pipes, and wildfire risks. Tucson contends with flash flooding through washes and aging structures. Prescott brings high-desert storms and forest-adjacent fire risk. Our local teams know these areas because they live and work in them, and that knowledge shows up on every job.
