• $6,965 was the average cost of a water damage claim.
• Water damage claims ranked fourth in average costs per claim.
• Fire, bodily injury and property damage, and unauthorized use of credit cards held the top three rankings.
• Wind and hail damage were the most commonly reported claim with water damage and freezing follows behind it in terms of frequency.
